THE EMPTINESS

Here we go again,
without words but broken soul
and no limits within our timeless time
though the books you read tell million words,
the words still feel like unborn children
because they have never been born
then our smiles become very superficial
as the million tons of stones cover our restless spirit
our tounges get wet
because all the words are stucked and rumbling...
but still the air won't flow the sound
only the eyes
send the broken soul
into the emptiness

SEPASANG SEPATUKU

Sepasang sepatuku
saksi bisu langkahku
sedetikpun tak pernah mengeluh
mau jalan rata atau jalan mulus,
mau jalan kering ataupun becek,
bahkan cium kotoran kucing kering juga rela

Sepasang sepatuku
saksi bisu hari-hariku
tumpuan harapan jari-jari kakiku
bahkan terkadang penghibur hatiku

sepasang sepatuku berselipkan besi
memberikan nuansa kelelakian
dan kepahitan sepasang sepatu
oleh bau kaus kaki yang terperangkap dalam pengapnya sepatu
seperti jiwa kita yang kadang kalut
diterjang badai hidup yang tak pernah berhenti bergolak
namun sepasang sepatuku tak peduli
terus melangkah menerjang jaman
hingga mereka tak mampu menyangga kaki-kakiku
dan berteriak kelelahan terjahit disana-sini

dan ketika saatnya tiba
sepasang sepatu itu teronggok
menantiku untuk mempunyai hati
seraya mengucapkan selamat tinggal.
Namun saat ini, sepasang sepatu itu tetap teronggok
membawa kenangan
yang terasakan dari bau yang tertinggal
jejak dari masa lalu

sepasang sepatuku
sekarang menepi dan menyepi
hanya ada sunyi

IT'S TIME TO SAY GOODBYE

It's time to say goodbye
'cause I didn't see the other way
not even the way around
and believe me
I have nothing in mind to break my hope on you
eventhough I have in mind one or two,
they will never be my possesion
since this is goodbye
the word goodbye wasn't made only in a day
it was made after the long journey
the happiest journey that I always had
but you know that one day you have to stop
and take another road with you
and of course another car to go with
this is my stop and I'm telling you
that this is goodbye.

I'll be looking my back though this is goodbye
just to ensure myself that happines still remains
